Salary: £43k-55k depending on experience
Role clearance type: You must be able to gain and maintain the relevant UK Government clearance in line with the job role (SC)

About Your Opportunity:
As a Senior Project Controller at Northrop Grumman you will lead fellow Project Controllers and the project team effectively and proactively controlling multi-million pound projects across the NGUK National Security Solutions Defence Operating Unit portfolio, working on national critical programmes, spanning maritime to future combat air. The role may be planning or cost centric based on the individual project controls resource requirements.
You will actively develop, maintain and execute complex project performance baselines by adhering to robust project controls processes and procedures

Your Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain and updating a cost and schedule performance baseline which includes well defined scope, assumptions, deliverables, Work Breakdown Structure, Activity ID and integrated critical path schedule that is resource loaded
- Effective communications and reporting requirements that define the current status of a project in relation to the project performance baseline, reasons for deviation, and assisting with implementation of corrective action plans
- Seeking continuous improvement and enhancements of current project controls methodologies
- Supporting proposals and change management reviews
- Advanced use of project controls software including Primavera P6 and Deltek COBRA, applying NG Earned Value Management System
Your Experience:
- Significant experience in project controls, commercial operations, and/or prime contract experience with emphasis on project controls and financial issues, ideally in a SSRO QDC/CAAS reporting environment
- Demonstrated experience in applying Earned Value Management System (EVMS) performance standards, preferably to ANSI or APM standards
- Advanced ability in practical use of Primavera P6 and MS Project, Deltek COBRA cost management system, and company ERP systems
- Experience with leading and facilitating, planning, and scheduling functions and workshops, including schedule development, control, and analysis
- Specific experience and demonstrated skill in leading and supporting cost management activities on projects, including cost estimating, cost control, change management, cost analysis, activity coding control, accruals, invoicing and expense management
