Position Summary:
Perform visual, in-process and final dimensional inspections using standard measurement instruments on tightly tolerance materials, components, subassemblies and final assemblies in the production areas. Performs required inspections in accordance with drawing, specifications, standard work and planning requirements. Supports customer source inspections. Documentation of non-conformances on materials, parts or processes. Reviews supplier paperwork, verifying material pass/fail criteria against engineering inspection requirements. Visual inspection and basic dimensional measurements of incoming materials. Reading chart records to determine material shelf life and expiration dates. Counting and tagging of boxes and individual parts. Computer processing and status of material acceptance. Must be able to pass visual exam after start.
Basic Qualifications:
2+ Years of Quality experience working with composites
High School Diploma or equivalent GED
Ability to lift up to 50lb
Prolonged standing, bending and twisting for 12hrs
Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
·Familiarity with aerospace standards (ex. AS9100, ISO9001)
Must pass Visual Exam
Proficient skills in reading blueprints.
Must be able to work flexible and changing shift schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a highly technical aerospace/manufacturing environment.
Competent in Microsoft Word & Excel
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Work experience in manufacturing of composite parts.
Related industry experience in either manufacturing or inspection.
