We are a satellite earth observation company specialising in remote sensing, earth observation, and thermal imagery products & services. Our cutting-edge technology and advanced analytics provide valuable insights for various industries, including defence & intelligence, climate & environment, industrial monitoring, supply chain analysis, NetZero initiatives, financial markets, ESG, and insurance. Following the recent launch of our groundbreaking first satellite (HOTSAT-1) and the successful close of our highly anticipated A2 funding round, we are looking for a Release Manager to join us as an essential member of the Product team, as we scale.
What you’ll be getting involved in.
As an early-stage business, you can expect your role to develop over time. We’d expect you to dive into a range of tasks and priority opportunities across the company, and proactively problem solve as issues arise. We see this role as crucial to the successful scaling of SatVu, enabling other departments to concentrate on their core activities. It’s a demanding role and will make a significant impact on evolving our products form idea, through engineering, to innovation for our customers, and be well recognised in the achievements of the company.
Product Release Management - Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams to drive the process of managing SatVu thermal earth observation offerings through the lifecycle of pre-release, beta release, and to general availability. Release management proactively works towards achieving faster time to market, accountability for the components of a product release, and providing communication, timing, and predictability for product launches.
Primary activities the Release Manager will own or play a key role in include:
- Rollout Execution – Define product specific rollout plans to guide release processes, identify key stakeholders for release approval, and work to achieve rollout objectives for the needed deliverables and deadlines. Manage risks and resolve challenges that impact release scope, quality, and schedules.
- Release Definition – Determining with Product Managers and company stakeholders the clear set of deliverables, milestones, and versioning for product catalog items.
- Release Preparation – Define and drive the cross-functional work needed to organise and promote product releases for users and customers.
- Product Communication Updates –Publish and maintain Product Release Roadmaps and status for internal and external audiences. Work with Commercial team to coordinate product releases that align to customer needs.
- Product Readiness – Work with Product Management, Commercial and Engineering to ensure new functionality is scope complete and delivers the intended value.
- Marketing Activities – Coordinate and contribute Product content for blog posts, demos, webinars, and professional social media posts around releases.
- Product Support– Ensure creation and quality of Product support resources like release notes, how-to guides, and tutorials to help users and customers understand the value of offerings.
- Product Launch – Lead the cross functional effort and communication to ensure internal deliverables are complete, approved, and confirm end-to-end readiness for each product.
- Product Steering – Participate in strategic reviews for new and in-development products and capabilities, in various stages of the product lifecycle, to determine their progress and fitness for moving forward in the product rollout journey.

- Demonstrated experience with earth observation imagery products, such as thermal or multispectral imagery, for different use cases.
- Knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information System), imagery exploitation, and geospatial analytics use cases and applications.
- Lean Start-up mindset, agile engineering principles, Minimum Viable Product (MVP) concept, and the build-measure-learn approach.
- Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic start-up culture and a rapidly evolving industry landscape.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
