Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) is an industry-leading provider for prime satellite and payload capabilities and directed energy and electronics solutions for national security, military, and civil customers. SSSD has an opening for a Test Conductor 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located either in Redondo Beach, California or Merrit Island, Florida.
This position will be part of a lean, agile team allowing you to work all aspects of AI&T at the Airbus OneWeb Satellite factory in Merritt Island, Florida. Our goal is to build 2 space vehicles per week so you will need to be flexible in your work as needed.
Daily tasks include but are not limited to the following:
Test of the Spacecraft Flight and non-flightt hardware, software, and Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE)
Write, authorize, and execute Electrical Test procedures
Participate in daily floor activities including create, update, and execute Automated Test Scripts (ATS) on Payloads
Work closely with Lead Test Engineer and Systems Engineering to develop new test cases, review test data, and troubleshoot any anomalies
Participate in all phases of the integration and test of a payload subsystem, SV system, and cross-team collaboration with the Airbus US Bus provider
Successful candidates in this role will have strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
Some shift work might be required
Work after September 2023 will be at the Airbus OneWeb Satellite factory.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree plus 2 years of technical experience, Master’s Degree plus 0 years of technical experience OR High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D) plus 6 years of combined technical experience.
Must have knowledge of Radio-Frequency (RF), digital Instrumentation and Command and Data Handling.
Proven leadership experience on a project and/or team
Experience in Electrical System Level Testing, Integration or Test
Ability to Travel for more than 70% or relocate (Merritt Island Florida)
Candidate must have an active DoD Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting space flight launch operations, including knowledge of required safety precautions
Experience working in clean room environments
Experience working on space flight hardware
