Here at the The Exploration Company we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit, and which carries cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.
We want you as a talented MAIT mechanical Technician to help us in our mission by
  • Being involved in any type of operations for the Exploration Company in our factory, like all the mechanical and fluidic operations on our orbital capsules, assembly operation but also tests and setup for tests
  • setting up the factory and the GSE (Ground support equipments) that we will have to install
  • working closely together with the MAIT mechanical Engineer and Lead AIT but also with any other engineers or technicians in AIT


Key Responsibilities

In your capacity as MAIT mechanical Technician, your role will be continuously evolving, but day to day your duties will include:
  • You will help the MAIT mechanical Engineer to setup a good work environment, for example identifying any missing tool to do properly all the mechanical activities. You will also work on the organisation and management of all these tools.
  • You will support the writing of the procedures detailing the assembly and mechanical setups for tests (in Odoo MES TBC) under the lead of the MAIT mechanical engineer
  • You will be involved in the execution of the mechanical operations  on the capsules, following procedures and documenting all the anomalies or deviations
  • You will be involved in the resolutions of anomalies happening during the integration and tests.
  • You will give your feedback and report any problem to the MAIT mechanical engineer or Lead AIT. We will all work on a continuous improvement pattern to make sure we will fit with the quality standard.

What we would love to see from you

In the role of MAIT mechanical Technician ideally, you will have the following:
  • Mechanical or Electro-mechanical Degree as a technician or Bachelor (2 years after High school)
  • Technician who likes hands on work but also accurate work
  • A previous experience (2 or 3 years) in building space vehicles would be appreciated
