At The Exploration Company, we are at the forefront of space exploration and innovation, developing Nyx – a modular, reusable space orbital vehicle. Nyx is designed for cargo transport and, potentially, human spaceflight, with future capabilities including in-orbit refuelling. Mission for This Internship:

As an Intern in our Operations Engineering team, you will immerse yourself in the heart of aerospace development. You will learn to develop, run, and automate operational processes within our rapidly growing company. You'll gain hands-on experience in how a cutting-edge space product is developed and apply this knowledge to support daily operations and key stakeholders. In our quest to streamline operations at The Exploration Company, efficient stock management plays a crucial role. The current manual processes are time-consuming and prone to errors. An automated system will significantly reduce these issues, contributing to smoother operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and systematically address engineering issues from various departments in view of quality.
  • Work alongside different teams to establish digital processes for business operations and support the implementation of the business process management platform.
  • Implement changes in warehousing processes based on new learnings and process updates, and oversee inventory.
  • Support incoming inspections and enforce quality requirements with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Contribute to the product lifecycle's sustainability evaluation process.
  • Manage internal and external transfers, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Look for the gaps and the opportunities to improve and digitalise working enviroment for business operations. 


What we would love to see from you

  • Pursuing or completed a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
  • Exposure to production, procurement, logistics, or enterprise process management.
  • Fluent in English.

Skills and Behaviours:
  • Engineering principles, especially in business systems design and process automation.
  • Driven to excel in a fast-paced, autonomous startup environment.
  • Exceptional focus on precision and detail.
  • Capable of working unsupervised as well as collaboratively.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and organize tasks.
  • Positive, flexible approach to achieving objectives.
  • Effective at all business levels.
