Job description
As a Mission Operations Intern, you will work with the mission operations team to perform daily monitoring and command functions for the Turion Space fleet of satellites. You will work with design engineers and subsystem experts to help develop satellite concept of operations from inception to decommissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, assess, and maintain the operational health of Turion Space’s spacecraft fleet
- Coordinate troubleshooting activities in response to satellite and network anomalies
- Identify, investigate, and execute procedures to resolve spacecraft system and subsystem deviations and anomalies
- Develop and distribute reports summarizing technical analysis findings and recommendations to include monthly and annual satellite health and status reports as well as anomaly resolution reports
- Create telemetry viewer pages, procedures, and manuals to assist with current and future spacecraft fleet development
- Support development, launch, and in-orbit testing of new satellites
- Successfully complete mission operations training program
- Support On-Call responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
- Enrolled in a technical degree path (Engineering, Math, Science, Computer Science)
- Lab or internship experience related to satellite design
- Experience with design, manufacturing, and testing of satellite systems and/or mechanisms
- Experience with programming languages, specifically Ruby
- Ability to work autonomously and perform self-directed research
