Our 2D and 3D virtual map/globe visualization using Cesium allows our users to quickly ingest and understand near real-time space situational awareness data. We utilize Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
Summary of Key Duties for this position:
• You will be a member of an Agile Software Development team building applications that will solve a variety of complex problems related to the Space domain.
• You will be planning, designing, and implementing software packages to solve new and unique problems in the Space domain, that will run in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure cloud such as Docker and Kubernetes.
This position is in our Colorado Springs, Colorado location. Day Shift, flexible, 9x80 (Every other Friday off) schedule, and the ability to occasionally work from home.
Per the required clearance level, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen.
Although DoD TS/SCI clearance is not required to start work if selected, candidates must be able to obtain Active Top Secret with adjudicated SCI Eligibility (TS/SCI) for continued employment on the program.
Basic Qualifications:
• Recent Software Engineering experience with TypeScript using frameworks such as Angular
• Demonstrated experience and understanding working with Software Engineering methods, processes, and practices
• Demonstrated experience working under Agile methodologies
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge or experience working with WebGL or Cesium
• Knowledge of the Space Domain (Satellites, Sensors, Orbit propagation, etc)
• Experience with concurrent programming
• Experience with Contexts and Dependency Injection (CDI)
• Experience with Java Persistence API (JPA)
• Java networking with REST end points or Java Message Service
• Ability to use an Integrated Development Environment such as EclipseIDE or Visual Studio Code
• Ability to use Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
• Ability to take the initiative and drive for results.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $105,000 - $201,100. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
