York’s complete Space Segment Solution including spacecraft production, payload integration, system integration & test, launch services, ground segment services, and mission operations enables customers to leverage York’s existing technology solutions to get rapidly and responsively to orbit. We’re looking to expand our team across the board. 

We are currently seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our team, reporting directly to the Senior Product Manager. This critical role focuses on managing the lifecycle of crucial hardware components for our satellite systems across our programs. The Product Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, execute, and refine product strategies. You will be expected to take initiative, drive innovation, and demonstrate a clear passion for making visionary ideas a reality. This role offers the opportunity to significantly impact the company’s trajectory and product success in the market.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in satellite subsystems, with a proven ability to navigate the complexities of hardware development in the space industry. We value a candidate who is adept at analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to inform product decisions. The ability to articulate clear product roadmaps, prioritize features, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion the product strategy and vision for satellite hardware components, aligning with overall company objectives and market needs
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define and verify hardware requirements, features, and functionality
  • Work closely with supply chain and manufacturing partners to ensure product quality and timely delivery
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of progress and challenges
  • Oversee the product lifecycle and roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of features
  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding across internal teams
  • Facilitate communication between engineering, production, and other internal teams to ensure product alignment and execution
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes that may impact satellite hardware development
Desired Experience
  • 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in satellite hardware or related fields
  • Proven track record of managing hardware product development cycles in space or related industries
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in an engineering-driven environment
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work onsite (this is not a remote position)
Bonus Qualifications
  • Strong technical background with a thorough understanding of satellite subsystems and components
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements in the space industry
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and drive cross-functional teams towards a common goal
  • Previous leadership roles or experience directly managing a product team
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
