We’re on the hunt for a Junior antenna Design Engineer on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.

Role:

MDA is expanding its already successful antenna engineering team, and is looking for antenna design engineers to join their team.

 

Responsibilities:

The candidates will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary engineering team to develop state-of-the-art communication antenna to be operated in space or a challenging environment. The candidate will be part of a design team performing RF analyses of antenna system performance, and will use industry standard modeling tools (e.g. TICRA, Feko, HFSS,CST) to predict RF  performance. They will also participate to the performance reviews (internal design reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews [PDR], Critical Design Reviews [CDR]) to ensure that RF performance requirements are met. In addition they will provide RF support during testing of antenna feed chains and antenna assemblies and will contribute to R&D programs and proposals.

 

Required Qualifications:

Candidate must have a very strong Electromagnetic / microwave background. Experience in the field of antenna design (e.g. feed chains, reflector antenna systems, arrays) and matlab programming is an asset. Self- driven and motivated individual.  Minimum of B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering. or equivalent. M.Sc. or Ph.D. is an asset.

Comments/Special Considerations:

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
