We’re on the hunt for Electromechanical Assembler on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.

Role:

Perform assembly of electromechanical products. Level of responsibility: Structured work processes. Some analysis is required before independently selecting from known processes. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare components.
  • Proceed with tinning of components.
  • Manually assemble through hole (TH) and surface mount technology (SMT) components on printed circuit boards.
  • Operate and adjust automated inspection and assembly equipment. 
  • Prepare, handle and use polymeric products for component bonding.
  • Install cables.
  • Mechanically integrate modules, flex and printed circuit boards.
  • Inspect, check and validate compliance of certain tasks performed by colleagues.
  • Support Research and Development.
  • All other related tasks.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • College diploma or secondary school vocational diploma in one of the following fields: electromechanical, mechanical, aeronautical or equivalent.
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Plan Reading.
  • Basic knowledge of the principle of tolerances and geometrical dimensions.
  • Knowledge of standards IPC-A-610
  • Ability to recover and enter data with a computer system.
  • Use of production databases.
  • Fine manual dexterity.
  • Good knowledge of French. Basic knowledge of English is an asset.

Comments/Special Considerations:

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
