a.i solutions is seeking a driven individual who will support Missile Defense Agency quality and mission assurance by serving as a technical consultant on Quality, Mission Assurance policy issues affecting program and spot checks on orbit day-to-day operations. This will confirm satellite operations functions are performed uniformly, to the best of ability in a manner to prevent errors, and will elevate concerns in an expeditious manner to MDA/SS.

The selected candidate will represent MDA/QS at Program, Project and element meetings/reviews and as required for field visits to various Services, Commands and Program Offices to assist in the planning, development, acquisition, and execution of the quality assurance, mission assurance, and integration programs and processes. They will also ensure on-orbit activities and ground station activities are in alignment with MDA's Quality, Safety and Mission Assurance, and Space Sensor’s policies and practices, and are integrated/implemented to support Missile Defense System and the Warfighter. This role supports emerging QS/MA requirements for on-orbit and ground system testing activities and readiness for test events. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to embrace the a.i. solutions mission and work to continually exceed the expectations of our customers.

Knowledge:

  • Satellite: design, testing, communication, on-orbit operations, and troubleshooting
  • Quality and mission assurance (QMA) principles, practices, methods, and procedures
  • Professional knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and theories involving multiple disciplines with emphasis in satellite operation, communication and spacecraft ground station commanding.

Skills:

  • Lead QMA panels, boards, steering groups, tiger teams, committees, and brief senior MDA officials, to support, defend, and address issues pertaining to MDA's Quality, Mission Assurance, and Assurance Integration program
  • Monitor on-orbit activities, ground station activities
  • Validate Independent software and hardware against documented configuration baseline
  • Configuration control ground stations/spacecraft communications/ spacecraft ground support equipment / encryption / test racks / Information technology
  • Requirements and alignment with MDA's Quality, Safety and Mission Assurance, and MDA/SS policies and practices

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in a relevant engineering or related technical discipline and 10-15 years or related experience
  • Must currently possess an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain Top-Secret SCI
