Associate Contracts Administrator

As part of the customer contracts team in the Legal and Compliance group, you will directly support contracting efforts of our Lunar Transportation (LT) and In-Space Systems (In-Space) Business Units (BUs). You will team cross-functional counterparts on issues related to Blue Origin's U.S. Government, commercial and international contracting matters.

This is an early career role with in the Legal and Compliance group reporting to the Director of Contracts. As an individual contributor, you will provide support to the LT and In-Space Contracts Managers from capture through proposal, contract award, and all phases of contract administration. Within this role, you will have opportunities to work in a dynamic team environment, where work projects can be diverse in nature and move quickly.

This position will be onsite at our Kent, WA location.

Responsibilities:

  • Support communications with the customer and Business Unit counterparts to track and submit data deliverables and invoices, monitor contractual obligations, and prepare documentation.
  • Draft and receive customer correspondence.
  • Assist in proposal development activities.
  • Provide contractual guidance on U.S. Government and commercial contracting issues and ensure requirements are communicated and understood throughout the organization.
  • Provide guidance on adherence to internal policies, procedures, and tools relating to customer contract administration. Apply standardized processes and use automation when practical and appropriate.
  • Occasional travel for meeting support may be required.

Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of contracting experience and Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution in a business, technical or other field that provides exposure to contracting issues.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of operational excellence.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and NASA FAR Supplement.
  • Leadership experience through extracurricular activities or community involvement.
  • Ability to solve problems using multiple sources of data.
  • Prior contracts experience a plus.
Compensation range for on site WA applicants is
$62,687.30$91,941.30 USD

Paid Time Off:  Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays for all regular employees (including part-time), fixed-term, and interns.

Discretionary bonus: Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay. Bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
