As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, engineers, program managers, you will participate in the development of several of our space vehicles. We are seeking an analytical, creative, and forward-thinking Senior Financial Analyst to join our team and will report into the Senior Manager of Finance. This position will drive critical initiatives to improve the quality and timeliness of insights provided to business leadership. The individual should possess excellent financial acumen and strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills that can thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment. This senior level position requires sophisticated wide-ranging expertise to apply in-depth knowledge, sophisticated concepts and principles, and advanced analysis of variable factors to tackle sophisticated problems of diverse scope to drive the achievement of business objectives. Encouraged to lead projects and processes, as well as mentor and coach others.

Responsibilities:

  • Creation of content and ability to present data to support program, financial, and operations reviews
  • Lead financial business cases on a variety of space systems
  • Perform financial analyses to support investments, pricing and new business decisions, authority in make-buy decisions
  • Participate in customer, supplier, and vertical integration strategies and negotiations. Support assessment of strategic partnerships and mergers & acquisitions
  • Lead special projects that support management decision-making, such as capital expenditure, inventory, and what-if analyses.
  • Prepare project budgets and provide analysis such as funding profiles, sales forecasts, time-phased labor and non-labor expenditure profiles
  • Cash analysis of disbursements and customer receipts, and variance to both the annual operating plan cash and expenditure budget
  • Provide guidance and mentor staff member as required to follow stated deadlines and ensure appropriate actions are implemented in relation to business requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, or other highly analytical field.
  • 8+ years of financial and business analytics experience, to include partnering with senior leaders to prepare and present business cases for new and existing space systems.
  • Experience costing new programs
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Strong communication, writing and presentation skills.
  • Experience in helping business managers meet financial targets and deliver results.
  • Highly skilled collaborator and influencer capable of interacting with multiple business partners and stakeholders.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Solid understanding of underlying business processes and the impact of financial decisions.
  • Deep knowledge of FP&A processes, financial metrics, and experience in a matrix organization
  • Solid understanding of financial documents and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Experience in helping teams meet financial targets and deliver results.
  • Expert level skills in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Tableau
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

 

Desired:

  • Experience in estimate at completion (EACs) at the WBS element and program level
  • Experience in government contracting/government cost accounting and solid understanding of FAR and DFAR
  • MBA, or Master’s Degree in Finance or related field

 

 

Compensation range for on site WA applicants is
$125,227.50$183,667 USD

Paid Time Off:  Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays for all regular employees (including part-time), fixed-term, and interns.

Discretionary bonus: Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay. Bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
