Requirements
An opportunity to join us during a period of substantial growth as we prepare to launch our new cutting edge products. Based on site in our Reading offices on a part time basis you'll play a critical role in ensuring that employees are informed and engaged in the companyβs mission, vision, and values.
You'llbe responsible for developing and executing internal communications, ensuring consistent and effective communication within the organisation as well as supporting our employee value proposition (EVP) and ongoing change management efforts during our Transformation programme.
You'll create and manage employee engagement programs by bringing together employee resource groups (ERGs) across the company to support with execution of content across a variety of channels, including events, email, social media, intranets, and more, to inform and engage employees.
Your deep understanding of our goals, values, and culture will enable you to develop communication strategies that resonate and engage our employees.
Responsibilities Include:
- Internal Communications Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive internal communications strategy that aligns with the company's overall objectives and values
- Employee Engagement: Develop initiatives and programs that enhance our employee value proposition, engagement, morale, and a sense of belonging within the organisation
- Change Management: Support the Transformation Programme change management efforts by creating communication plans and materials that guide employees through organisational changes, as well as for mergers, acquisitions, or major process changes
- Content Creation: Through and with the support of ERGs, create engaging and informative internal communications content, including emails, newsletters, intranet/website articles, videos, and other multimedia materials
- Message Development: Craft clear and compelling messages that effectively convey company news, updates, and initiatives to employees at all levels
- Feedback Mechanisms: Establish feedback mechanisms to gauge the effectiveness of internal communications and make continuous improvements including regularly seeking anonymous qualitative feedback from employees for sharing with the senior leadership team
- Crisis Communication: Develop crisis communication plans and serve as a point of contact for internal communications during critical situations
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, marketing, transformation and leadership, to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with company objectives
- Measurement and Reporting: Monitor and measure the success of internal communications efforts through key performance indicators and report on results to the senior leadership team
Ideally, You'll Have:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in engagement, internal communications, corporate communications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, such as email marketing software, intranet platforms, and multimedia editing software
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively at all organisational levels.
- Experience with change management and crisis communication
- A creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to think outside the box and develop engaging content
