Job Summary
The Millennium Space Systems Sr. Supply Chain Quality Engineer will work within the Quality organization and partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to ensure internal program orders are received to specification. We are looking for a candidate that:

Job Responsibilities
- Act as the technical point of contact for our suppliers, building strong relationships and implementing improvement initiatives across tooling, build processes, quality processes, automation and driving operational improvements
- Work directly with Millennium Space Systems engineering, integration and production teams to ensure all company objectives are met
- Mitigate supplier escapes, manage hardware containments, and drive supplier corrective actions
- Collaborate with sourcing team to strategically source parts matched with supplier competencies
- Analyze supplier discrepancy and delivery metrics to pinpoint systemic performance gaps and identify any trends in product defects
- Review and assess supplier manufacturing processes and quality systems to provide feedback on their methods and technologies
- Support periodic audits of supplier processes and facilities to ensure compliance to Millennium Space Systems and Government requirements
- Work with suppliers to find the root cause of product defects and implement robust corrective actions to prevent issue reoccurrence
- Manage supplier improvement plans
- Ensure that supplier non-conformances are resolved in an effective and timely manner
- Ensure that purchase order Terms & Conditions and quality clauses match our needs and are revised as appropriate with supply chain
- As required, support internal quality assurance investigations and quality system audits
- Ability to travel - typically less than 20% of work week
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and 4+ years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or engineering, OR 8+ years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or engineering
- Exposure to ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality management system
- Solid understanding of supply chain, contracts, subcontracts, and supplier relationship management
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action implementation
- Working knowledge of process auditing techniques to ensure compliance to defined quality requirements
- Experience performing and applying statistical analysis methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in the aerospace industry
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing concepts (certification a plus)
- Familiarity with J-STD-001/IPC-A-610
- Knowledge of supplier quality processes (production part approval process, advanced product quality planning, first article inspection reports, etc.)
- Current TS/SCI

Summary Pay-Range
- Level 3: $94,350 - $138,750
- Level 4: $116,450 - $171,250
