Redwire Space has a current opportunity for a Social Media and Content Manager, a key role working within the Marketing and Communications group. This position will be based remotely.
Summary of Role
The Social Media and Content Manager position is responsible for creating original text and video content, managing posts and responding to the community. This position will report directly to the Director of Marketing and Communications. We are looking for a talented, driven individual who will help create engaging space, science and technology content for the Redwire brand. The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of various social media platforms and how to optimize content for maximum engagement, brand awareness and audience growth.
Responsibilities
In this role you can expect to:
- Develop a robust social media marketing strategy that incorporates Redwire’s brand strategy, customer engagement, and corporate development priorities
- Create dynamic, engaging, and relevant content and social posts for Redwire’s flagship social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Reddit
- Draft social copy and edit social media posts that reflect Redwire’s corporate tone and align with the company’s brand strategy and brand identity
- Develop creative and comprehensive social media campaigns that promote Redwire’s brand messaging, flagship missions, and key products
- Manage a robust content library for social sharing including photos, videos, graphics and news
- Develop social content calendars and syndication schedules
- Collaborate with other Redwire departments and executive leaders to support corporate brand strategy, protect brand reputation, and execute annual marketing plans
- Create social reports that capture and analyze the relevant social data, insights and best practices, and then act on the information
Ideal Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, digital marketing, or a related field
- 7+ or more years of social media experience including planning and managing content in a corporate, or agency setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and must have a thorough understanding of social media management and strategy
- Ability to work across the organization with a variety of departments and ability to manage outside vendors that support the role
- Detail-oriented, a self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team
- Expert knowledge of social media tools that include editing, and graphics software such as Adobe CC Suite
- Ability to provide consistent creative work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel up to 15% may be required
