Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a SMT Principal Project Manager in support of the Sentinel program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure. Position location is in Roy, Utah and this role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
What You’ll Get To Do
This position is responsible for managing the vertical and horizontal integration for the Payload Advanced Equipment Team. Integration activities include performing or managing work related to operations, planning, configuration and data management, digital engineering, business management, global supply chain, risk management, processes and tools, and engineering. This position regularly interfaces with senior management within the IPT, across the program, and with our customers. The selected candidate will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison for the team. The selected candidate will be a strong self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills. The position will have the opportunity to define solutions to operational challenges to streamline work and generate efficiencies. The selected candidate will help to instill operational discipline and rigor within the team to enable high performance. The candidate will be adaptable and able to demonstrate agility relative to evolving priorities.
Essential Responsibilities:
Integrate and manage within the Payload Advanced Equipment Team and external stakeholders, performing tactical day to day operations.
Serve as an overall integration function engaging in a variety of ad hoc activities required to ensure streamlined cadence and execution.
Collaborate across all functions within the team to develop advanced concepts, techniques and requirements for new and existing applications and tools.
Provide Liaison assistance between the interfacing stakeholders.
Ensure IPT compliance with program processes and procedures and implement improvements.
Coordinate and prepare executive and customer presentations.
Evaluate and report health metrics for the IPT.
Facilitate, coordinate and track preparation and submission of contract and other data deliverables.
Coordinate and manage efforts surrounding key events.
This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
6 years with bachelor’s degree or 10 years of experience in lieu of degree; 4 Year with Masters.
Must have U.S. Citizenship with a current or active Secret Clearance.
Demonstrated knowledge of project management fundamentals.
Experience using Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Project, Excel).
Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Preferred applicable college degree.
Previous experience leading a team in successful completion of projects.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Program management, operations, or cost estimating experience.
Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
Experience with SAFe agile methodologies and tools.
Experience in technical data development is a plus.
Experience with earned value management in a program management capacity.
Experience with Agile Project Management.
DoD Top Secret clearance or previously held.

Salary Range: $74,600.00 - $111,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
