Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Business Management Manager 2 to provide full spectrum Business Management support to the Strategic Program Team. The selected candidate will report to the Director of Business Management and support to the program’s performance and financial/strategic objectives. This position will be located in Magna, UT.

The Business Management Manager 2 will lead a team of business management professionals, as direct reports and matrixed from other disciplines. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency of developing and motivating staff in a team environment with excellent interpersonal, planning, presentation and organizational skills.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Leading all aspects of program financial execution objectives
  • Ensuring effective compliance with EVMS requirements
  • Providing accurate and timely inputs to business systems supporting financial forecasting and profitability determination
  • Leading Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs), Joint Surveillance Reviews (JSRs), Internal and External Audits, and other financial assurance engagements
  • Leading Program Annual Operating Plan (AOP)/ Long Range Strategic Plan (LRSP)
  • Identifying issues and making recommendations to management for resolution or mitigation
  • Program resource management, including cost estimation, allocation, tracking, and analysis
  • Estimate-at-Complete (EAC) preparation and review
  • Management and development of Program Control Analyst (PCA) staff
  • Lead the integration of financial planning and forecasting
  • Oversee and ensure quality of cost and schedule data delivered to internal customers, including EVMS reporting requirements
  • Lead Internal and External Audits, and other financial assurance engagements
  • Demonstrated ability to identify issues and make recommendations to management for resolution or mitigation

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in with a minimum of 10+ years of industry related experience – OR – Master’s degree with a minimum of 8+ years of industry related
  • An additional four years’ experience accepted in lieu of a degree
  • Earned Value Proficiency including the Earned Value Guidelines
  • Experience in financial planning, forecasting, and analysis
  • Strong experience operating within highly compliant business
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or a Master’s Degree in a Business related field
  • Prior experience supporting large complex proposal activities
  • Experience with financial forecasting systems including any of the following: TM-1, Hyperion, or COGNOS
  • Experience with TM1 financial forecasting system & earned value management system.
  • Management experience
  • Experience preparing and presenting financial analysis to team and/or management

Salary Range: $125,700.00 - $188,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
