Duties

  • Lead diverse teams, both internal and external, to accomplish environmental program priorities and mission objectives.
  • Coordinate and schedule high-level meetings and briefings, maintain and, as necessary, develop plans, data and reports to assist Director and senior OSI leadership with the management of environmental functions
  • Formulate and execute long-range plans for accomplishing environmental program missions, including the development and/or implementation of plans, goals and objectives.
  • Lead special projects that may include responding to changing priorities or to accomplishing enterprise environmental functions.
  • Provide support for managing environmental program enterprise requirements and resources.
  • Analyze data to understand program performance and trends. Use analyses to continuously seek and identify opportunities to make improvements to program operational efficiency and processes.
  • Assesses enterprise program performance through the use of performance measures or other tools as it relates to environmental programs achieving regulatory compliance, cleanup objectives, conformance with management strategies.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level
  • analyzing and evaluating data and conducting research to support program planning and operations of environmental projects;
  • supporting programs that operate utilizing environmental laws and regulations such as Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and the National Historic Preservation Act; and
  • performing program/project management duties to include, planning, monitoring progress, and budget and contract oversight, to accomplish organizational missions or goals.
