The Electrical Assembly Design & Verification section in Linthicum, MD enables these hardware solutions by providing RF microwave and mixed signal architecture, design, verification, and support expertise across a wide variety electronic sensor products. Our engineers work on complex, leading edge, high reliability electronics supporting maritime, ground, airborne, and space platforms.
Whether you are looking for detailed design, modeling and simulation, software applications, hands-on verification testing and troubleshooting, or working with internal or external fabricators and integrators, there is a role for you in our department.
NGMS is seeking engineers with experience and interest in software develop and database design including:
- Develop/Optimize customer focused user-friendly software applications to support verification engineers, and subsystem hardware design.
- Develop/manage internal databases schema to supports various hardware design systems and program resources.
- Structure, transform, and analyze data to gain insights that will provide opportunities to improve business intelligence in hardware design.
- Collaborating with peer functions such as Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Test
- Supporting software applications and tools throughout the product life cycle
- Supporting software development life cycle
- Collaborating with Test engineers to support in lab verification efforts of measurements and testing.

Engineer RF Microwave Design
Basic Qualifications
- Electrical Engineering or related STEM field degree: Bachelor of Science with 2 years of software experience or Master’s degree or 6 years software design experience (relevant coursework will be considered)
- US Citizenship is required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
- Proven knowledge of software design, and data process skill sets
- Experience with C, C++, C#, Java, Python or equivalent experience with distributed systems delivering scalable, secure, applications
- Software debug experience
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Productive in a team working environment
Principal Engineer RF Microwave Design
Basic Qualifications
- Electrical Engineering or related STEM field degree: Bachelor of Science with 5 years of software experience; Master’s degree with 3 years of software experience; or PhD degree; or 10 years software design experience (relevant coursework will be considered)
- US Citizenship is required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
- Experience with C, C++, C#, Java, Python or equivalent experience with distributed systems delivering scalable, secure, applications
- Software debug experience
- Experience in development scalable source code
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Productive in a team working environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with software version control tools
- Experience with .net framework 4.8 or .net 5+
- Experience with relational database experience
- Experience with white/black box troubleshooting
- Experience using Application Programming Interfaces
- Experience developing Graphical User Interfaces
- Customer-focused software development
- Experience with analytical tools such as R
- RF measurements and testing experience
- Continuous improvement/Continuous development concepts/technologies
