We’re looking to expand our team across the board.
We are looking for a Senior Ground Software Engineer who is excited about building and pushing the boundaries of software to operate spacecrafts. Our ground operations software is a modern (React/TypeScript, C# .NET) web-based application which operators use to monitor and task space vehicles. You’ll be responsible for working with engineers, operators, and customers to understand requirements and implement features, bug fixes, and other improvements. Prior space-industry experience is not required.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop key user-facing features to support both current and future missions using React.js, Typescript and C#.
Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
Translate designs and requirements into high quality code.
Participate in code reviews and mentor team members.
Collaborate with various teams.
Work with operators to improve the usability of the software.
Participate in technical design for new features and technologies.
Play a key advisory role for the team on best practices, new technologies and performance optimizations.

QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of software engineering.
Strong full-stack web engineering experience.
Thorough understanding of modern React.js and its core principles.
Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
Strong experience with Git.
Familiarity with design systems.
Experience with SQL databases.
Experience with modern security practices.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Computer science degree.
React using TypeScript.
Strongly typed backend language, such as C# or Java.
Experience with modern state management tools such as Recoil.js, React Query, Mobx, etc.
Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Thorough knowledge of API’s.
