York Space Systems was founded to radically improve spacecraft affordability and reliability, transforming, and enabling next- generation space mission operations worldwide. Today, York is one of the most innovative aerospace companies, specializing in end-to-end customer solutions and the rapid production of spacecraft platforms. York’s complete Space Segment Solution includes spacecraft production, payload integration, system integration & test, launch services, ground segment services, and mission operations, enabling customers to leverage York’s existing technology solutions to get to orbit rapidly and responsively. We’re looking to expand our team across the board.
York Space Systems seeks an experienced and proven professional to join our Business Development and Proposal team. The ideal candidate for this role is a person who develops and maintains customer relationships, is able to multitask, and has excellent communication skills.
We are looking for someone who is an innovative thinker with a strong strategic mindset. The person will be responsible for cultivating and sustaining customer relationships that result in business opportunities that fit York’s space capabilities and business model.
The person engages across the space industry ecosystem including government budget and policy leaders, space acquisition organizations, and existing and prospective industry partners. They apply their industry knowledge and contacts to positively impact our success in winning and performing space systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Become familiar with York’s products and capabilities and introduce them to customers
- Advocate for York space capabilities and business model across the space ecosystem
- Build and evolve new customer relationships across the government and industry
- Maintain positive professional relationships with clients to advance new opportunities
- Provide regular inputs and updates to York’s new business pipeline process

- Excellent business and strategic acumen and instinct

- Excellent presentation and customer-facing skills
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Driven to achieve and deliver consistent high-quality results
- Existing contacts in the government and with space contractors
- Excellent interpersonal skills; able to influence at all levels
- Self-motivated and able to work using own initiative
- Works well in a team environment and at all levels
DESIRED SKILLS
- Cleared or clearable to TS/SCI
