Position Purpose: The Senior Vibration Test Engineer will be responsible for supporting vibration test engineering tasks associated with the development, qualification, and acceptance testing efforts of spacecraft systems and components. This engineer would be engaging in test and support of flight spacecraft hardware. Development work will include design and documentation of test fixtures.

Pay Range: $100,000 - $185,000
(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Job Responsibilities:
- Work in a fast-paced test environment
- Use vibration shakers and measurement equipment to test components and spacecraft
- Maintain required test engineering logs and records
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department. Interact appropriately with others to maintain a positive and productive work environment
- Use various testing equipment, standards, and methodologies to support verification and validation
- Conduct complex and professional tests and complete reports in order to demonstrate compliance to system vibration requirements
- Follow test procedures and use logical techniques to determine potential failure modes during vibration tests
- Use SolidWorks to design test fixtures
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications/Education:
- Experience with vibration shakers and controllers
- Experience with conducting sine and random vibration tests on aerospace hardware
- Ability to work independently with some direction and to be a self-starter.
- Thorough understanding of engineering principles and practices
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or other related discipline
- 7+ years of experience in Test Engineering or a related field
- Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education
Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
