Responsibilities:
Do you enjoy developing solutions to support organizational success? We are looking for a Web Developer and Data Scientist to support the Quality Assurance Organization through software development, modernizing applications, and infusing data driven decision in the spirit of continuous improvement.
You will be part of the Training, Tools, Technology and Tracking ("4T") team to develop innovative tools and technologies supporting Quality Assurance data and intelligence systems! The 4T Group works to investigate, analyze, and provide solutions across the Institution leading to unique software applications in web applications, scientific data analysis, and organization key process indicator tracking applications to show real-time decisions.
You will use apply full stack development methodologies to implement web applications to produce data for data modelling, statistical analysis techniques, and artificial intelligence technologies to partially and fully automate existing and new systems for scheduling, planning and prioritization that support critical areas that support JPL's Flight Projects and internal practices!
This job will entail but is not limited to:
Lead and implement the design, development, and launch components of software tools or web applications for process improvements and data analytics.
Collaborate with multi-functional teams to investigate processes to develop system requirements.
Works with team to understand problems, recommend solutions, and communicate results to internal customers, management teams, and partners.
Develop scheduling algorithms for intelligence packages or dashboards that must interpret large amounts of input state, constraint, and event data to generate actions and scheduled to achieve higher level goals.
Apply and infuse new and emerging techniques and tools in novel ways.
Develop and combine sophisticated data analysis techniques and methods for a specific application.
Desired Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline with a minimum of 3 years of related experience; Master's degree with 1 year of related experience, or a PhD with 0 years of related experience.
Experience in one or more related fields of the following areas: website application development, software development, mobile application development, artificial intelligence, quantitative modeling, machine learning, computer vision, risk models and probabilistic methods.
Experience in wide application of principles, theories, concepts and techniques in programming languages such as Python, PHP, SQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, C++, C, Java, and modelling, scripting techniques and concepts.
Experience in software tools, frameworks such as Django, Git/GitHub, Jira, Flask, ReactJS/React Native, API integration (SOAP, REST), AJAX, Bootstrap, Docker, Kubernetes and Vue.js

The hiring range displayed below is specifically for those who will work in or reside in the location listed. In extending an offer, Jet Propulsion Laboratory considers factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s job related skills, experience, knowledge, and relevant education/training. Hiring range for this job may be adjusted based on primary work location outside of Pasadena, California. This adjusted range will be provided to candidates by the Recruiter when applicable.
