SPACEWORKS
SpaceWorks is seeking an experienced technical program manager to drive the growth of our aerospace systems and products. At SpaceWorks Enterprises, we provide innovative engineering design services, technical software, and cutting-edge hardware products for our government and commercial clients across a broad range of applications in the aerospace industry.
Our Program Managers interact directly with the customers we serve, write proposals and quotes to win new business, execute both contracted and internal R&D projects within their assigned portfolio, move our R&D projects toward production/sales, and drive our company's vision of growth.
A successful candidate will:
- Capture new work and business, being outward facing while driving our aerospace products and brand
- Work with our technical staff and manage your projects to be on budget and on schedule while delivering quality products
- Ambitiously propel our business toward sustainable market growth using our corporate and private R&D investments
- Exhibit a "can do" and "want to" attitude - always be willing to take on a new challenge while staying flexible to the changing space industry
- Be interested in managing activities in one or more of the following focus areas:
- Aerospace electronics / avionics system design, development, prototyping and production
- Design of highspeed flight systems operating across a variety of flight environments
- Advanced aerospace technology development and maturation
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Monitor and manage multiple projects, which will include developing project milestones and communicating key program metrics
- Utilize engineering experience to provide technical reviews for engineering teams
- Lead Internal Research And Development (IRAD) initiatives to develop new product lines and innovations
- Interact regularly with our company's CTO to communicate business unit progress, goals, priorities, and resource needs
- Develop technical documentation including proposals, sales quotes, progress reports, incident reports, final reports, ICDs, and review meetings
- Use your project management skills to organize budgets, schedules, and program plans to ensure development, qualification and production hardware is delivered

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- B.S./ B.A. degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or Operations Management (or substantially similar)
- 3+ years of related aerospace industry experience while managing projects, budgets, resources, and timelines
- Self-starter with a passion for growing a product portfolio! Someone who goes above and beyond to accomplish their best
- Must be a U.S. citizen and be immediately eligible to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
SKILLS & SOFTWARE
- Demonstrate strategic and innovative thinking with strong technical leadership skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary, collaborative environment typical of a small business
- Desire to lead and manage individual contributors
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Expertise with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE...
- Program Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience
- Small business experience
- Fundamental understanding of a broad range of aerospace disciplines and their interactions including flight mechanics, structures, propulsion, flight software, thermal management, and electronics
- Skills and experience supporting and/or managing aerospace hardware development efforts
- Familiarity with U.S. Government contracting and funding opportunities
