Working in the Technology Team

The successful candidate will be joining Open Cosmos’ technology team and will be responsible for the product development of satellites and space systems.

The technology team is responsible for developing the products and services that Open Cosmos offers. It's a multidisciplinary team with the required skills to develop from ground to orbit any systems required for an end to end space mission in the ground, space and data segments.

What will you be doing?

As Product Manager in space systems, you'll work with customers and OC to shape the product vision and roadmap. Deeply understanding our customers, you'll turn their needs into an actionable product development strategy.

You'll use data to track and optimise product performance, defining and monitoring KPIs to drive product enhancements. Keeping up with industry trends and competitor movements will be essential to keep our product competitive.

In addition, following the common Product Manager responsibilities in a fast paced setting, a significant part of your role will involve guiding and being actively involved in product development. Collaborating closely with our engineering team, you will be involved in designing, tracking development, assembly, integration and testing of new product features. With your strategic insight, you will define product requirements, perform tradeoffs, own the product backlog, and ensure that new features are properly tested and qualified.

What you need to be successful

• Demonstrate knowledge of space missions and their building blocks down to component level.
• Demonstrate knowledge and attitude to drive developments in specific fields from scratch to successfully be useful in orbit in a fast paced environment.
• Strong proficiency in Product Management with the ability to make priority calls in a constrained environment, able to develop product strategy and guide product development. Define and make actionable roadmaps based on a product vision and market fit.
• Demonstrable knowledge on industrialisation of high complexity and quality products.
